Idoia Salazar, President of OdiseIA, Participates in the Annual Conference of the Internet Governance Forum in Spain

The event will be held on November 16 and 17 at the ETSIT of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, under the motto “Technologies and people more united than ever.”

The president of OdiseIA (Observatory of the Social and Ethical Impact of Artificial Intelligence), Idoia Salazar, will participate in this global event (#IGF2022), in the session dedicated to the Challenges and opportunities of the Metaverse, on Thursday 17/10: 45 at 12:15.

According to the organization's website, the objective of this round table is “to be a first open space for reflection on the different perspectives that exist on the metaverse.” First, do we need to regulate the metaverse? And, if so, how? A new regulation, or based on existing ones? Second, in terms of rights, we are already beginning to talk about ethics in the metaverse, with cases such as the privacy of personal data or virtual harassment. How can we start talking about rights, and not just ethical principles?
